From social issues to the various experiences and emotions that shape life, Hill navigates it all through song. His influences range widely from David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello to Jeff Buckley, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, U2 and Radiohead. From his initial compositions influenced by Van Morrison's early work, Hill has gone on to become an acclaimed singer-songwriter in his own right.
