Sonny Casey is a singer-songwriter hailing from Galway. Her style takes musical influences from many sources; Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, and Bruce Springsteen, to name a few, and blends it with her own unique style of poetry to create ballads that tell tales that would warm even the coldest heart.
At 17 she self-released a street album of original songs; "Tales of Taboos and Summery Blues"- much to the delight of the crowds that stop to listen to her busking.
She is regularly heard in prestigious venues such as the Róisín Dubh, Galway, the Workman's Club, Dublin, and quaint cafés alike.
Sonny has shared her songs in the streets of Ireland, Edinburgh and France and will begin a busking tour of Germany this summer. Two tracks from her second original street album 'Pocketful Of Words' will be available on Spotify on July 12th 2018.
